Located high up in the Ayrshire Hills above Girvan Pinbraid fishery was taken over approx. 3 year's ago by Bill Wood and assisted by his brother Jimmy and wife Pauline.

Major improvements in stocking policy and works on the fishery generally have turned this into a wonderful venue. Surrounded by the rolling Ayrshire Hills and an abundance of insect life this is one of the venue's that should not be missed.

Stocked with quality hard fighting fully finned Rainbows and Blues from 2lb well into double figures.There are a good head of natural wild brownies of a good size.
the policy on stocking is to compliment the above average base stock with a daily trickle stock is proving to be a success for Bill and his team.

Facilities at Pinbraid are excellent with a comfortable lodge offering hot and cold food, try the Homebaking and don't miss out on the Breakfast.

Excellent parking and toilet facilities all go to enhance the venue, BBQ stands and a picnic area make this an ideal venue for a family day out in the warmer months.

Limited amounts of Tackle and a good range of Flies are available from the Lodge, with Jimmy or Bill always on hand to give helpful advice and tips on the fishery.

The abundance of insect life in the water as well as that coming off the surrounding hill makes this an excellent top of the water venue during the warmer months.
Spectacular early morning and evening rises.

Even during the colder months there is no real need to put away the floating line or the dry flies as fish are readily taken with this method all year round.
